After cyclists cross the finish line at the Spoetzl Brewery, an afternoon of music and food and, of course, ice cold Shiner Beer awaits! We'll have shower trucks set up so you can rinse off and change clothes. Enjoy a little more Shiner hospitality by taking a free tour of the historic Spoetzl Brewery. Free tours of the Spoetzl Brewery will be conducted from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.

Riders can catch a bus back to Austin (be sure to sign up for this on the registration form for an additional $25 fee before 4/21/11). Bikes will be carefully loaded on trucks and returned to the start in Austin. No bus reservations will be taken after 4/21/11.

On the morning of the ride, you may drop 1 small soft-sided bag (nothing valuable, please!) at the start and we will have waiting it for you in Shiner. Please attach your provided ride number to your bag.

FOOD & DRINK

All registered GASP and 1/2 GASP cyclists will be provided with food from the Shiner Smoke House. There will also be vegetarian options.

There will be multiple food stations to minimize wait time in food lines. The Shiner Smoke house crew keeps the lines moving!

Purchase a Partner Pass for each additional person joining you in Shiner along with your ride registration so they can enjoy food and beverages. The cost of the partner pass is $20 and they can be purchased either online or at the info tent at the brewery on the day of the ride. Children 12 & under are eligible for a free partner pass.

MUSIC & ENTERTAINMENT

While relaxing and enjoying some ice cold Shiner Beer and Smokehouse food, listen to some great music featuring Shiner Record Label musicians among other hot Texas Country bands.

SHOWERS

We’ll have shower trucks set up so you can rinse off, change clothes and enjoy the festivities. Shower space is allocated on a percentage equal to male and female registered riders. (ie. If 40% of the riders are female, then 40% of the stalls will be allocated for female use.)

RETURN BUSES

After a 100-mile ride and an afternoon of food, fun and sun, let someone else take you home! For a $25 fee, you can reserve your spot on an air conditioned luxury bus that will take you back to Austin or McMahan! Riders must register for the bus by April 21, 2011. Only Riders will be allowed on bus.

BUS SCHEDULE*

The buses depart approximately every 30 minutes between 2:30pm and 5:30pm and are boarded on a first come first serve basis.

If a bus is not full at its scheduled departure time, the departure may be delayed. If there is a headwind from Austin and riders take longer to arrive, we'll make sure there is a bus for you. If there is a tailwind and everyone shows up early, please be prepared to wait until the scheduled times to depart.

PARKING

Parking is available near Spoetzl Brewery. Drive past the main entrance to the brewery and park in either of the fields located south of the bridge next to the brewery. Watch for cyclists!
